Narrative:
On descent into lga, we were given a descent from 13000 ft to 11000 ft. Descending through approximately 11700 ft, we were cleared to 10000 ft. We acknowledged the altitude and continued the descent to 10000 ft. At approximately 10400 ft the controller stated we had been cleared to 11000 ft. He told us to go ahead and level off at 10000 ft. We stated that we had read back the descent to 10000 ft. The controller stated we were only cleared to 11000 ft. Both the captain and I heard air carrier xyz cleared to 10000 ft, we acknowledged and continued the descent. Hopefully the controller just forgot our altitude clearance.

Title: A DSNDING B767 IS ALLEGED TO HAVE OVERSHOT ITS ASSIGNED ALT WHEN THE CTLR TAKES EXCEPTION TO THE CREW'S DSCNT THROUGH 11000 FT.
Narrative: ON DSCNT INTO LGA, WE WERE GIVEN A DSCNT FROM 13000 FT TO 11000 FT. DSNDING THROUGH APPROX 11700 FT, WE WERE CLRED TO 10000 FT. WE ACKNOWLEDGED THE ALT AND CONTINUED THE DSCNT TO 10000 FT. AT APPROX 10400 FT THE CTLR STATED WE HAD BEEN CLRED TO 11000 FT. HE TOLD US TO GO AHEAD AND LEVEL OFF AT 10000 FT. WE STATED THAT WE HAD READ BACK THE DSCNT TO 10000 FT. THE CTLR STATED WE WERE ONLY CLRED TO 11000 FT. BOTH THE CAPT AND I HEARD ACR XYZ CLRED TO 10000 FT, WE ACKNOWLEDGED AND CONTINUED THE DSCNT. HOPEFULLY THE CTLR JUST FORGOT OUR ALT CLRNC.
