Narrative:
We were assigned hold at stefe intersection, dqo 053 degree radial, 24 DME at 16000 ft due to snow at lga. After about 30 mins, I was the PF as we discussed WX, fuel and diversion. First officer was busy updating WX with the ACARS as assigned. I mistakenly flew to 34 DME to make the outbound turn, overshooting the required 24 DME holding fix. I allowed myself to be distraction while the first officer was busy with assigned tasks. The fault was mine. We subsequently diverted to bos.
