Narrative:

On departure from msp on runway 12L we were assigned a heading of 100 degrees. I started the left turn at 500 ft AGL and at about 800 ft AGL we got an RA on the TCASII which commanded a descent of about 1000 FPM to avoid traffic above us. We pushed over and stopped climbing at about 1100 ft AGL. At this point the traffic showed 200 ft above us. We never did see the traffic, but assume that it came from runway 12R (we had strong winds from the south). I feel that we were at all times left of runway 12L extended centerline due to the turn and the direction of the wind. Note: my aircraft was very light and we were climbing very well.

Title: A DC10-40 DEPARTING RWY 12L HAS A TCASII RA WITH TFC OFF RWY 12R, AN NMAC OCCURS, MSP, MN.

Narrative: ON DEP FROM MSP ON RWY 12L WE WERE ASSIGNED A HDG OF 100 DEGS. I STARTED THE L TURN AT 500 FT AGL AND AT ABOUT 800 FT AGL WE GOT AN RA ON THE TCASII WHICH COMMANDED A DSCNT OF ABOUT 1000 FPM TO AVOID TFC ABOVE US. WE PUSHED OVER AND STOPPED CLBING AT ABOUT 1100 FT AGL. AT THIS POINT THE TFC SHOWED 200 FT ABOVE US. WE NEVER DID SEE THE TFC, BUT ASSUME THAT IT CAME FROM RWY 12R (WE HAD STRONG WINDS FROM THE S). I FEEL THAT WE WERE AT ALL TIMES L OF RWY 12L EXTENDED CTRLINE DUE TO THE TURN AND THE DIRECTION OF THE WIND. NOTE: MY ACFT WAS VERY LIGHT AND WE WERE CLBING VERY WELL.
