Narrative:
Cleared for visual approach to runway 18R at dfw. Leaving 3000 ft, we received a TCASII RA for pop-up traffic below us. We did not acquire traffic visually nor was dfw tower aware of the offending traffic. We responded to RA and it worked as advertised.

Narrative: CLRED FOR VISUAL APCH TO RWY 18R AT DFW. LEAVING 3000 FT, WE RECEIVED A TCASII RA FOR POP-UP TFC BELOW US. WE DID NOT ACQUIRE TFC VISUALLY NOR WAS DFW TWR AWARE OF THE OFFENDING TFC. WE RESPONDED TO RA AND IT WORKED AS ADVERTISED.
