Narrative:
On may/xa/99, I was flying C152 inbound to sat from the southeast. Approach vectored me for landing to the southeast. After being handed off to sat tower, tower (I believe) cleared me to land on runway 12R. I read back, 'cleared to land runway 12R.' after landing, sat tower informed me that I was cleared for runway 12L. This was a communication misunderstanding. Safety was not compromised. I have flown out of sat for 4-5 yrs. I have logged over 350 hours out of sat, and I know the difference between runway 12R and runway 12L. I believe communication vigilance must be maintained by all parties.
