Narrative:
After landing touchdown, the left main gear collapsed. Aircraft veered off left side of runway. Came to rest in grassy area off left side of runway. Aircraft damage minimized due to grassy resting area and wingtip tank preventing wing and flaps from contacting ground. Was able to lift left wing and lock left gear down for towing. FAA recorded as mechanical failure incident. Investigation showed left gear push/pull actuating rod failure.
