ATC facility: sju center. Location: sju/320 degrees 180 NM. Climbing through 30000 ft detected cabin pressurization change. Cabin rate pegged at 2000 FPM and corresponding cabin altitude climb. Performed rapid depressurization checklist, no change in situation. Declared an emergency and started a descent. Cabin approaching 10000 ft and performed explosive depressurization checklist. Leveled at 10000 ft and return to sju. Never able to regain control of pressurization system. Returned to sju uneventful.
