Narrative:

While proceeding direct minow at FL350, ride got choppy. Requested descent to FL310. Still choppy, requested descent to FL280 and it was also choppy. Started to slow for chop while under ZMA radar control. Approximately 5 mins later, ZMA called and said radar service terminated and to report minow this frequency. 4 mins prior to minow, ZMA asked if we were at minow intersection. We advised ZMA we will be at minow in 4 mins. At minow, we reported minow to ZMA. ZMA came back, 'roger, over minow, now call new york radio 130.7.' called new york and reported minow, eliom and sword. After approximately 15 mins, new york called back and questioned the minow estimate. Then they said stand by for phone patch with ZHU. ZHU asked our TAS and mach speed then said they were planning their separation on flight plan speed. After landing mex on phone conversation with ZHU and ZMA, they advised there was not a loss of aircraft separation.
