Narrative:
Aircraft experienced engine failure. Upon landing at airport, aircraft struck a mailbox and sustained damage. As it turns out, the engine had broken its wrist bearings which caused the engine to fail. The lack of a suitable landing site within gliding range limited landing spots without obstructions. (ELT was removed the prior week to facilitate maintenance for upcoming annual.) greater than annual inspections are my recommendations for 2-CYCLE engines.
