Narrative:
In sum: departure procedures and sids at sna are constantly changed and updated. Even so, each departure aircraft receives many controller changes and inputs. On the channel 1 departure under such busy conditions, the PF's departure chart was dropped. While reaching for the chart, the assigned altitude was overshot by approximately 300 ft.

Title: CESSNA CITATION ON SID FROM SNA OVERSHOOTS ASSIGNED ALT.
Narrative: IN SUM: DEP PROCS AND SIDS AT SNA ARE CONSTANTLY CHANGED AND UPDATED. EVEN SO, EACH DEP ACFT RECEIVES MANY CTLR CHANGES AND INPUTS. ON THE CHANNEL 1 DEP UNDER SUCH BUSY CONDITIONS, THE PF'S DEP CHART WAS DROPPED. WHILE REACHING FOR THE CHART, THE ASSIGNED ALT WAS OVERSHOT BY APPROX 300 FT.
