Narrative:
The captain was flying. We were at 31000 ft. We were given a clearance to cross 20 DME west of gummy intersection at or below 23000 ft to maintain 15000 ft. The captain was having trouble putting the crossing point in the FMC. I then put it in for him and said we better start down. He started down and I changed frequencys to talk to company to get a gate and let them know our time of arrival. When I got the information, I noticed our altitude was high, and I told him you're not going to make the crossing restr. Just then, center gave us a new frequency. When I checked on, I told him we were at FL263 descending to 15000 ft and he asked me if we were given a restr, and I told him we were and we weren't going to make it. We finally descended below 23000 ft 7.2 mi past the fix. We apologized for not making it. Nothing else was said.
