Narrative:
A clearance was received by the PF on the ground at ase. After takeoff, we received a clearance to track the dbl 093 degree radial and climb to FL210. The altitude alerter was set, autoplt engaged, and the altitude preselect armed. I was attempting to find the STAR into den, when the ase departure controller came on the radio and asked if we were going to stop at FL210. The aircraft was already climbing through FL220 when our descent to FL210 was initiated. The 2 factors that led to this incident were, the PF not paying attention to controling the aircraft, and the PNF being distracted by looking for charts.
