Narrative:
Received clearance from 10000 ft to descend to 6000 ft. At 9100 ft, controller said we were only cleared to 10000 ft. We had readback clearance when received. New clearance received to maintain 9000 ft, so we leveled at 9000 ft. No further problems.

Narrative: RECEIVED CLRNC FROM 10000 FT TO DSND TO 6000 FT. AT 9100 FT, CTLR SAID WE WERE ONLY CLRED TO 10000 FT. WE HAD READBACK CLRNC WHEN RECEIVED. NEW CLRNC RECEIVED TO MAINTAIN 9000 FT, SO WE LEVELED AT 9000 FT. NO FURTHER PROBS.
