Narrative:
I was on reserve as captain on the saab 340 for the month of march. I was new to the saab having been on the jetstream 31 previously, so I was unfamiliar with the saab first officer's. I had less than 75 hours in type in the saab and was constantly telling crew scheduling to pair me up with a legal first officer that had at least 75 hours in the saab. However, crew scheduling ended up pairing me with a first officer that had less than the 75 hours needed. Neither myself not the first officer found this out until we were en route to the destination of pit from fwa. Upon arrival at the destination I immediately called crew scheduling to schedule another first officer for the remainder of the day.
