Narrative:
We were on the kokomo 1 arrival into ord and were given holding instructions at halie as published. Approximately 1 mi prior to entering the hold we were told to turn to a heading of 130 degrees and descend to 14000 ft. As no direction of turn was given, we started a r-hand turn to 130 degrees. Approximately 30 degrees into the turn I informed ZAU that we were in a r-hand turn to 130 degrees. He stated that we were to reverse our turn to the left and stop our descent at FL180. We complied with his request and no further comment was made.
