Narrative:

XXX was en route from cmh to iad. Washington approach had advised XXX to turn right at doccs intersection to a heading of 150 degrees. The crew misunderstood the clearance at 'dukes' intersection. At druzz intersection, the controller queried crew as to why they had not turned. The crew turned to a new assigned heading of 190 degrees. (Doccs intersection was not on the arrival segment XXX was flying.) as soon as washington advised another aircraft to turn at doccs, the crew realized he had informed them incorrectly. Doccs is on the lower approach track of the jasen 2. The controller had advised XXX to turn on an intersection not on their assigned flight plan. There was no traffic conflict and XXX landed without incident.
