Narrative:
The ILS to runway 5R at MMMX is inoperative. The tower reported it has been inoperative for over 2 months. I looked through my flight paperwork and I could not find any information on this in our field report, our F4 messages or in the NOTAMS. This is their primary landing runway. To make matters worse I was cleared an ILS approach to runway 5R by mex approach control. Fortunately it was a clear day and we could easily land visually. We need better information for our pilots. I kept the paperwork from this flight if you need it for reference.

Title: AN S80 IS TOLD BY APCH CTL TO PERFORM AN ILS TO RWY 5R. THAT ILS HAS BEEN INOP FOR 2 MONTHS, BUT NEITHER THE CREW NOR THE APCH CTLR KNEW ABOUT IT. THE TWR CTLR DID.
