Narrative:
While climbing out from ord to sgf we had 2 turbulence jolt like bumps to the airplane followed by smoke cargo message. We also had rudder vibrations and a left wing down. We declared an emergency and landed at aurora, il, followed by an evacuate/evacuation. We had no fire indication in the back and no one was injured. I felt that the pack or air cycle machine had a hose come off or loose and all that hot air to the control cables or control unit caused the vibrations. I am not sure about why we got the smoke cargo indication.
