Narrative:

After I made an initial climb out traffic call, the other aircraft reported approximately 1 mi in trail at 1000 ft with my aircraft in sight. I made an additional traffic call 1 1/2 mi later, reporting '...800 ft, climbing wbound.' immediately after my call, the other aircraft overtook us high on my right. I proceeded to make a descending turn for spacing. I then made an additional location report and asked the other aircraft if they had us in sight when they overtook us. Their reply was affirmative. This conflict happened in a busy air corridor. For local noise abatement procedures, aircraft are funneled to and from the lake via narrow rtes.
