Narrative:
We were assigned an altitude of 14000 ft. While climbing through 13700 ft, an aircraft passed within 5 mi and 300 ft. ATC told us he had assigned us 13000 ft. I don't know who made the mistake. We had been on duty 12 hours with 6.5 flight hours with no breaks.

Narrative: WE WERE ASSIGNED AN ALT OF 14000 FT. WHILE CLBING THROUGH 13700 FT, AN ACFT PASSED WITHIN 5 MI AND 300 FT. ATC TOLD US HE HAD ASSIGNED US 13000 FT. I DON'T KNOW WHO MADE THE MISTAKE. WE HAD BEEN ON DUTY 12 HRS WITH 6.5 FLT HRS WITH NO BREAKS.
