Narrative:
Advanced throttles to takeoff power and takeoff warning horn sounded. Takeoff was aborted below 80 KTS, cleared runway and followed company limitations procedures. Reconfigured aircraft flaps and trim settings, rechked speed brakes stowed and speed brake flap warning check. Increased power above 1.4 EPR and takeoff warning horn sounded again. Takeoff was prohibited and returned to gate for maintenance. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the cause of the takeoff warning horn sounding when throttles were advanced was a flap position switch. The reporter said maintenance adjusted the flap switch and takeoff warning horn checked ok.

Title: A B727-200 ON 2 TKOF ATTEMPTS EXPERIENCED THE TKOF WARNING HORN CAUSED BY A FLAP POS SWITCH OUT OF ADJUSTMENT.
Narrative: ADVANCED THROTTLES TO TKOF PWR AND TKOF WARNING HORN SOUNDED. TKOF WAS ABORTED BELOW 80 KTS, CLRED RWY AND FOLLOWED COMPANY LIMITATIONS PROCS. RECONFIGURED ACFT FLAPS AND TRIM SETTINGS, RECHKED SPD BRAKES STOWED AND SPD BRAKE FLAP WARNING CHK. INCREASED PWR ABOVE 1.4 EPR AND TKOF WARNING HORN SOUNDED AGAIN. TKOF WAS PROHIBITED AND RETURNED TO GATE FOR MAINT. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THE CAUSE OF THE TKOF WARNING HORN SOUNDING WHEN THROTTLES WERE ADVANCED WAS A FLAP POS SWITCH. THE RPTR SAID MAINT ADJUSTED THE FLAP SWITCH AND TKOF WARNING HORN CHKED OK.
