Narrative:
The captain kept the speed up the entire flight. He stayed high and fast as long as possible from cruise all the way down to the airport he misjudged his altitude and speed on long final to runway 19R ict causing him to enter the air traffic area at 250 KTS, which he was unable to dissipate until about 1000 ft AGL because we were also high. I initially didn't speak up because I thought maybe with his 30 yrs of flying experience he knew something about going down and slowing down that I didn't.
