Narrative:
All 3 pilots heard clearance as 'allersburg 4N.' during departure phase, controllers asked what departure we were on. My reply was 'allersburg 4N,' to which the controller responded, 'you're supposed to be on the 'microphone 4N, go direct alb.' we did to direct 'alb,' and nothing more was said. There were no traffic encounters, or further mention of routing.

Title: A B777 FLC FLEW THE WRONG DEP FROM MUC, FO.
Narrative: ALL 3 PLTS HEARD CLRNC AS 'ALLERSBURG 4N.' DURING DEP PHASE, CTLRS ASKED WHAT DEP WE WERE ON. MY REPLY WAS 'ALLERSBURG 4N,' TO WHICH THE CTLR RESPONDED, 'YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE ON THE 'MIKE 4N, GO DIRECT ALB.' WE DID TO DIRECT 'ALB,' AND NOTHING MORE WAS SAID. THERE WERE NO TFC ENCOUNTERS, OR FURTHER MENTION OF ROUTING.
