Narrative:
Location: northbound UG437 30 DME north of vumal. Traffic warning showed aircraft Y 20 mi ahead 900 ft above and descending. RA alert displayed to descend at 1500 FPM until we got to 27700 ft then alert ended. Aircraft above us showed on TCASII to be as close as 600 ft above at closest point. It looked like he passed over us between 500-1000 ft above. We notified bog control of the RA action and our return to FL280. They were in contact with the aircraft.

Title: A300 FLC NBOUND UG437 AT FL280 INITIATES EVASIVE TCASII DSCNT DUE TO OPPOSITE DIRECTION DSNDING TFC.
Narrative: LOCATION: NBOUND UG437 30 DME N OF VUMAL. TFC WARNING SHOWED ACFT Y 20 MI AHEAD 900 FT ABOVE AND DSNDING. RA ALERT DISPLAYED TO DSND AT 1500 FPM UNTIL WE GOT TO 27700 FT THEN ALERT ENDED. ACFT ABOVE US SHOWED ON TCASII TO BE AS CLOSE AS 600 FT ABOVE AT CLOSEST POINT. IT LOOKED LIKE HE PASSED OVER US BTWN 500-1000 FT ABOVE. WE NOTIFIED BOG CTL OF THE RA ACTION AND OUR RETURN TO FL280. THEY WERE IN CONTACT WITH THE ACFT.
