Narrative:
We flew into jst on J211 wbound. Right as we passed VOR and I updated the flight plan, the lead flight attendant came into the cockpit with a request. I failed to notice the first officer, who was flying, had entered the wrong outbound radial. About 2 1/2 mins after passing jst, center called us to say we had turned too far west and commanded a right turn back to airway. At that point I estimate that we were 6-7 mi left of centerline. The basic cause other than the first officer's mistake was that I failed in my responsibility to monitor his navigation at a turn point.

Narrative: WE FLEW INTO JST ON J211 WBOUND. RIGHT AS WE PASSED VOR AND I UPDATED THE FLT PLAN, THE LEAD FLT ATTENDANT CAME INTO THE COCKPIT WITH A REQUEST. I FAILED TO NOTICE THE FO, WHO WAS FLYING, HAD ENTERED THE WRONG OUTBOUND RADIAL. ABOUT 2 1/2 MINS AFTER PASSING JST, CTR CALLED US TO SAY WE HAD TURNED TOO FAR W AND COMMANDED A R TURN BACK TO AIRWAY. AT THAT POINT I ESTIMATE THAT WE WERE 6-7 MI L OF CTRLINE.
