Missed -- did not notice MD80 was in conflict with carj. 3 people on position: 1) radar, new to airspace, 2) d-side, new to en route and airspace, 3) tracker, xfer from tower, new to airspace. Chop in the area, traffic compressed. Missed initial call from carj and MD80.
