Narrative:
On descent on the cameron 3 arrival into jfk airport, got clearance to cross hoggs intersection at FL190. Misjudged crossing, crossed slightly high. Promptly leveled at FL190. Controller showed no sign of concern. No aircraft conflict. No TCASII warning. Should have told ATC crossing was going to be close even believing we would make it. Used best means to get down.
