Narrative:
After a hurried approach, we landed in the touchdown zone. During rollout, I realized the autobrakes were not working and applied brakes just before the captain called 'brakes.' when the aircraft failed to slow down, the captain took the aircraft and started using his brakes. I selected alternate brake system and during the period they should have been engaging, the captain said 'give me a hand with the brakes.' I was applying maximum pressure to the brakes as we departed the runway.
