Narrative:
I was approaching sig field from the northwest and entered a left downwind for runway 36 while calling a pattern for runway 18. The wind was out of 200 degrees. I touched down mid-field with a 17 KT tailwind and proceeded to slow the plane down with roughly 800 ft left. I started to get a little worried that we weren't going to stop in time. At the edge of the field, just feet of coming to a full stop, the plane went through a metal and barbed wire fence and the nose dropped about 3 1/2 ft down a ditch. I and my 1 passenger exited the plane unaided with no injury.
