Narrative:
Departure controller gave airspeed limit of 270 KTS. First officer flying. Due to change of routing and thunderstorms, the captain was heads down with the charts. At 10000 ft first officer accelerated to normal climb speed of 320 KTS. The control said 'normal speed.' no incident, no aircraft space violation, no comment by the controller.

Narrative: DEP CTLR GAVE AIRSPD LIMIT OF 270 KTS. FO FLYING. DUE TO CHANGE OF ROUTING AND TSTMS, THE CAPT WAS HEADS DOWN WITH THE CHARTS. AT 10000 FT FO ACCELERATED TO NORMAL CLB SPD OF 320 KTS. THE CTL SAID 'NORMAL SPD.' NO INCIDENT, NO ACFT SPACE VIOLATION, NO COMMENT BY THE CTLR.
