Narrative:
My student was preparing for his private pilot practical examination. He was having some difficulty with his soft field lndgs. I told him to pick a nice day during the week, fly solo in the pattern, and practice his soft field lndgs. His endorsement specifically stated that he could only solo with my permission, and the wind had to be less than 15 KTS within 30 degrees of the runway. Instead, he took an airplane and flew in formation with his friend (another unendorsed student) on a cross country to east hampton and back with 1 touch-and-go at east hampton (an uncontrolled, busy field). I learned of this when my student called me and asked for the endorsement after the flight so that he could legally log it. He also bragged to me about how bad the crosswind was when he returned and how well he landed in the severe crosswind. I took his logbook and wrote in the back: 'I, mr. X, CFI, hereby revoke all endorsements made by me to ...before this date and do not recommend further endorsement until student reaches the age of 21. I calmly explained why his actions could not be excused and I told him to find a new instructor.

I CALMLY EXPLAINED WHY HIS ACTIONS COULD NOT BE EXCUSED AND I TOLD HIM TO FIND A NEW INSTRUCTOR.
