Narrative:

Flight abcd arrived at gate xy. Parking checklist complete with external power on aircraft -- packs off and APU inoperative. Approximately 5 through passenger were on aircraft at this time and were deplaned when smoke was detected in cabin. Preconditioned air was not connected to aircraft. Air carrier personnel were notified to remain clear of aircraft. Ramp control was informed and ask to request fire trucks. Air carrier maintenance was call. External power was turned off and battery switch position off.

Narrative: FLT ABCD ARRIVED AT GATE XY. PARKING CHKLIST COMPLETE WITH EXTERNAL PWR ON ACFT -- PACKS OFF AND APU INOP. APPROX 5 THROUGH PAX WERE ON ACFT AT THIS TIME AND WERE DEPLANED WHEN SMOKE WAS DETECTED IN CABIN. PRECONDITIONED AIR WAS NOT CONNECTED TO ACFT. ACR PERSONNEL WERE NOTIFIED TO REMAIN CLR OF ACFT.
