Narrative:
The aircraft needed to be ferried due to a missing fuel cap. A ferry permit was obtained and flight was operated under part 91. At the same time we MEL'ed a broken y-cord. The dispatcher failed to list this on the release, and it went unnoticed by the flight crew until after the completion of the flight. It is to my knowledge that this is ok due to the aircraft being operated under part 91. I believe the lack of communication between maintenance and dispatch is the reason the MEL was not put on the release. The corrective action taken was a discussion with our chief pilot and the dispatcher on duty.

Title: BE02 CREW DEPARTED WITHOUT HAVING AN MEL ITEM ON THE FLT RELEASE.
Narrative: THE ACFT NEEDED TO BE FERRIED DUE TO A MISSING FUEL CAP. A FERRY PERMIT WAS OBTAINED AND FLT WAS OPERATED UNDER PART 91. AT THE SAME TIME WE MEL'ED A BROKEN Y-CORD. THE DISPATCHER FAILED TO LIST THIS ON THE RELEASE, AND IT WENT UNNOTICED BY THE FLC UNTIL AFTER THE COMPLETION OF THE FLT. IT IS TO MY KNOWLEDGE THAT THIS IS OK DUE TO THE ACFT BEING OPERATED UNDER PART 91. I BELIEVE THE LACK OF COM BTWN MAINT AND DISPATCH IS THE REASON THE MEL WAS NOT PUT ON THE RELEASE. THE CORRECTIVE ACTION TAKEN WAS A DISCUSSION WITH OUR CHIEF PLT AND THE DISPATCHER ON DUTY.
