Narrative:
Flight in T28 was scheduled from ded (XA00 local), deland, fl, to evb new smyrna beach, fl. Departed ded and climbed above airport to 5500 ft MSL to avoid orlando class B and daytona class C. Approximately 5 mi northwest of evb, my back-seater advised we had airliner traffic at 7 O'clock position, at the same altitude. I acquired the traffic which was about 2 mi and closing. I proceeded to turn into traffic and pitch up to approximately 6300 ft MSL. At about 1/4 mi separation and 200-300 ft vertical separation the airliner turned sharply to the southwest and descended which provided approximately 300-500 ft total separation. WX clear, airline B767, A320 or other heavy 2 engine jet. Foreign airline? This is a very high traffic area. Airliners should enter class B from the top of the airspace.

Title: A NORTH AMERICAN T28 HAD AN NMAC WITH AN AIRLINE ACFT NEAR EVB.
Narrative: FLT IN T28 WAS SCHEDULED FROM DED (XA00 LCL), DELAND, FL, TO EVB NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FL. DEPARTED DED AND CLBED ABOVE ARPT TO 5500 FT MSL TO AVOID ORLANDO CLASS B AND DAYTONA CLASS C. APPROX 5 MI NW OF EVB, MY BACK-SEATER ADVISED WE HAD AIRLINER TFC AT 7 O'CLOCK POS, AT THE SAME ALT. I ACQUIRED THE TFC WHICH WAS ABOUT 2 MI AND CLOSING. I PROCEEDED TO TURN INTO TFC AND PITCH UP TO APPROX 6300 FT MSL. AT ABOUT 1/4 MI SEPARATION AND 200-300 FT VERT SEPARATION THE AIRLINER TURNED SHARPLY TO THE SW AND DSNDED WHICH PROVIDED APPROX 300-500 FT TOTAL SEPARATION. WX CLR, AIRLINE B767, A320 OR OTHER HVY 2 ENG JET. FOREIGN AIRLINE? THIS IS A VERY HIGH TFC AREA. AIRLINERS SHOULD ENTER CLASS B FROM THE TOP OF THE AIRSPACE.
