Narrative:

While troubleshooting a stall warning system PIREP in the maintenance test panel, I noticed a #2 elevator hydraulic pressure fault ball that was black with hydraulic power off and test panel power on. This is normally looked at during 'B' check overnight, but I wanted it addressed with a logbook maintenance entry. I troubleshot system and found it was in maintenance test panel fault system only and not part of flight deck warning system. Technical service advised a deferral as non safety of flight item. I accepted maintenance control deferral and deferred item for 'B' check repair.
