Narrative:

Door at 1L opened in-flight. Inside door handle came up. The pilot could not move handle in-flight to close door. On landing, door 1L opened 1/2 way and we experienced engine noise and wind in cabin. We all had ear discomfort. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated that the door at 1L opened partially in-flight about 1 hour from chicago. They did not experience a decompression, as the pilots were able to stabilize the cabin pressure safely, but everyone's ears were popping constantly. The cabin crew did not prepare the cabin for an evacuate/evacuation, and they landed safely. She did not know if this airplane had a prior history of the door inadvertently opening in-flight.
