Narrative:

After clearing for takeoff, I took off climbing to 300 ft and initiated a climbing right turn to 1250 ft and a heading of 285 degrees. At about 900 ft AGL, I leveled off and turned on course and glanced to the south. At this time I noticed another B06 at the same altitude heading about 050 degrees. I initiated an immediate cyclic climb to avoid the collision. Both aircraft were at the appropriate altitudes for flight in accordance with procedures. The other aircraft made no evasive maneuvers according to ground witness. Lack of vigilance may have been a factor.
