Narrative:

While on a night training flight with a student, I was flying northwest of ugn. There was 5 SM visibility with thick haze. I flew southeast, but I did not realize what my position was from ugn, because I was distraction by my student's questions for a few moments. I then looked down and recognized visual landmarks and I knew I had penetrated ugn class D airspace without establishing radio communications. I was level at 2500 ft MSL and upon recognizing my position, I turned southwest in order to exit the airspace as quickly as possible. Time at entry was approximately XB53Z. At exit of class D airspace was approximately XB35Z. There was no evidence of other air traffic and there was no traffic conflict. I landed the aircraft at pwk airport about 15 mins later (AC15 local). Aircraft was a C172R.
