Narrative:
Aircraft was picked up in sea and MEL requiring oil quantity be checked. Checked and signed off in sea. Upon reaching sna flight was running late. Load was light. Because of time pressure to get flight out, the requirement to check oil quantity was overlooked and no one from maintenance showed up to check. An entry should have been made and signed off in logbook but was not.
