Narrative:

Return from mount vernon, il, airport as I gave a fellow pilot a ride to an interview. Both the other pilot and I fly commercially and left the cincinnati area early saturday morning (approximately AB30). Both pilots flew the previous day and alternated flying duties to and from st louis. Upon return from st louis, PIC duties passed back and forth. I was PIC upon entrance into the cincinnati class B airspace. Other pilot was sleeping due to sinus discomfort. I tried to contact cincinnati approach approximately 30 mi out but had a loose connection in the radio jack harness. With century one autoplt on, I attempted to fix the radio short. When fixed, I immediately contacted cincinnati approach. He must have heard me before as he asked how do I read him now. I said loud and clear. The position I previously gave cincinnati approach was told to me to be an airspace penetration when I confirmed my position. Controller was pleasant/professional and indicated that 'in the near future' such infractions will have severe ramifications. I said 'yes sir.' he then asked what requests I may have. I said vectors to lunken to refuel. Pilot fatigue and recent change in airspace boundary were causes of the inadvertent penetration.

Narrative: RETURN FROM MOUNT VERNON, IL, ARPT AS I GAVE A FELLOW PLT A RIDE TO AN INTERVIEW. BOTH THE OTHER PLT AND I FLY COMMERCIALLY AND LEFT THE CINCINNATI AREA EARLY SATURDAY MORNING (APPROX AB30). BOTH PLTS FLEW THE PREVIOUS DAY AND ALTERNATED FLYING DUTIES TO AND FROM ST LOUIS. UPON RETURN FROM ST LOUIS, PIC DUTIES PASSED BACK AND FORTH. I WAS PIC UPON ENTRANCE INTO THE CINCINNATI CLASS B AIRSPACE. OTHER PLT WAS SLEEPING DUE TO SINUS DISCOMFORT. I TRIED TO CONTACT CINCINNATI APCH APPROX 30 MI OUT BUT HAD A LOOSE CONNECTION IN THE RADIO JACK HARNESS. WITH CENTURY ONE AUTOPLT ON, I ATTEMPTED TO FIX THE RADIO SHORT. WHEN FIXED, I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED CINCINNATI APCH. HE MUST HAVE HEARD ME BEFORE AS HE ASKED HOW DO I READ HIM NOW. I SAID LOUD AND CLR. THE POS I PREVIOUSLY GAVE CINCINNATI APCH WAS TOLD TO ME TO BE AN AIRSPACE PENETRATION WHEN I CONFIRMED MY POS. CTLR WAS PLEASANT/PROFESSIONAL AND INDICATED THAT 'IN THE NEAR FUTURE' SUCH INFRACTIONS WILL HAVE SEVERE RAMIFICATIONS. I SAID 'YES SIR.' HE THEN ASKED WHAT REQUESTS I MAY HAVE. I SAID VECTORS TO LUNKEN TO REFUEL. PLT FATIGUE AND RECENT CHANGE IN AIRSPACE BOUNDARY WERE CAUSES OF THE INADVERTENT PENETRATION.
