Narrative:

On sep/xa/99, my wife and I departed camarillo with the destination of big bear airport, flying VFR. We were cruising at 7500 ft, about 5 mi west of vny airport when the engine began shaking. Power was reduced, socal approach was advised, and bur tower cleared us to land on runway 15. The landing was uneventful. It was discovered, upon removal, that the #3 cylinder had ingested its exhaust valve. A yellow tagged cylinder was installed at bur airport and the aircraft was flown back to camarillo airport.
