Narrative:

As we were signaled into the gate, just inches from parking, the left wingtip contacted a fuel truck. Paint was scraped from the truck and damage was done to the navigation light assembly. A signalman did not see the wing walker's attempt to get the aircraft stopped before collision with the fuel truck. Inadequate ramp markings, tight spaces and congestion around the aircraft contributed to the mishap.
