Narrative:

Pilot was told to make 180 degree turn on runway by tower to taxi back to parking. Pilot executed 180 degree turn on runway 30 after smooth landing. Pilot was not sure whether the plane would turn sharp enough to avoid going over the edge of the asphalt runway onto the grass to complete turn. Pilot finished 180 degree turn by taxiing onto grass and back onto runway. Propeller struck runway as we left grass surface. The runway had a severe drop-off onto the grass at that point. Pilot taxied back to parking.
