Narrative:
Radio went out due to bad fuse. Landed at sugarland (sgr) without control tower approval. Was not sure that it was operating since I could not raise it on my handheld radio either. (Battery had been discharged in-flight.) kept announcing over airport frequency, then entered pattern and landed. Fuse had come loose in harness. Radio operated after replacing fuses. No incidents and traffic was light.
