Narrative:
When departing ellx for bikfa aircraft X (a lear 55) was filed for FL390, the required altitude for direction of flight. I knew this was the wrong altitude for crossing the rvsm tracks. When within 1 hour of the track FL410 was requested with london control. When reaching shanwick the controller advised us that FL390 was on our flight plan and that aircraft X was rvsm certified. Aircraft X is not rvsm certified although it is mnps certified. Upon further review of our flight plan, it was noticed that universal WX (our overseas handler) had indeed filed us 'X' for rvsm operation. When notifying the controller we are not rvsm capable and FL410 was needed he was reluctant and we were advised that this 'would required some work.' after approximately 15 mins we were advised to maintain FL410 and a letter would be sent to the proper auths and to our office.

WHEN NOTIFYING THE CTLR WE ARE NOT RVSM CAPABLE AND FL410 WAS NEEDED HE WAS RELUCTANT AND WE WERE ADVISED THAT THIS 'WOULD REQUIRED SOME WORK.'
