Narrative:
Departing teterboro, nj, we were cleared for the teb 4 departure. Cleared for takeoff at XA30Z after 30 mins holding for departure we departed per the departure making an immediate right turn to 040 degrees while climbing to 1500 ft. Upon reaching 1500 ft we turned left to the pnj NDB while continuing to climb. We noticed we were above 2000 ft at about 2300 ft and began correcting at the same time new york departure informed us we were above 2000 ft. We continued the departure without further incident. All headings and altitudes were briefed prior to departure. We held for takeoff at teb and were 12.5 hours into our crew day. I think the long crew day coupled with a long hold on the ground created an environment of complacency and degraded crew alertness and awareness. Crew should have rebriefed departure just prior to takeoff.

Title: A CITATION FLC CLBED ABOVE THE ASSIGNED ALT ON DEP FROM TEB.
Narrative: DEPARTING TETERBORO, NJ, WE WERE CLRED FOR THE TEB 4 DEP. CLRED FOR TKOF AT XA30Z AFTER 30 MINS HOLDING FOR DEP WE DEPARTED PER THE DEP MAKING AN IMMEDIATE R TURN TO 040 DEGS WHILE CLBING TO 1500 FT. UPON REACHING 1500 FT WE TURNED L TO THE PNJ NDB WHILE CONTINUING TO CLB. WE NOTICED WE WERE ABOVE 2000 FT AT ABOUT 2300 FT AND BEGAN CORRECTING AT THE SAME TIME NEW YORK DEP INFORMED US WE WERE ABOVE 2000 FT. WE CONTINUED THE DEP WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. ALL HEADINGS AND ALTS WERE BRIEFED PRIOR TO DEP. WE HELD FOR TKOF AT TEB AND WERE 12.5 HRS INTO OUR CREW DAY. I THINK THE LONG CREW DAY COUPLED WITH A LONG HOLD ON THE GND CREATED AN ENVIRONMENT OF COMPLACENCY AND DEGRADED CREW ALERTNESS AND AWARENESS. CREW SHOULD HAVE REBRIEFED DEP JUST PRIOR TO TKOF.
