Narrative:
Told to cross sparta VOR 25 DME fix on the shaff 4 arrival into ewr at 7000 ft, but dialed in 115.9 vice 115.7. Was left of course and missed crossing restr by about 2000 ft. We discovered our mistake when approach asked us where we were going and immediately corrected.
