Narrative:
Obtained approximately 30 bird strikes during landing roll. Was advised of birds, but we assumed that they would have left the previous aircraft landed. We should have chosen a different runway until the runway was known to be clear of birds. Next time it would be safer to not accept a landing clearance.

Title: B727 BIRD STRIKE DURING LNDG ROLL AT DFW.
Narrative: OBTAINED APPROX 30 BIRD STRIKES DURING LNDG ROLL. WAS ADVISED OF BIRDS, BUT WE ASSUMED THAT THEY WOULD HAVE LEFT THE PREVIOUS ACFT LANDED. WE SHOULD HAVE CHOSEN A DIFFERENT RWY UNTIL THE RWY WAS KNOWN TO BE CLR OF BIRDS. NEXT TIME IT WOULD BE SAFER TO NOT ACCEPT A LNDG CLRNC.
