Narrative:
Parachute deployed +/-3000 ft in front of aircraft. Jump plane announced drop at 14000 ft. Socal approach acknowledged. Aircraft X was warned that drops were in progress. Aircraft X was maintaining the east edge of the airway (V186). When chute deployed, the jumper's outline was visible. The jump plane pilot, monitoring the approach frequency claimed aircraft X was in the middle of the jump zone. I believe this is an occurrence that will repeat until these jumpers are moved off the airway. It is inevitable that someone will die. Please -- not in an airway (V186).
