Narrative:
Due to a family medical emergency, I was unable to fly my sequence on nov/xa/99. Scheduled departure was XD05 and I contacted crew scheduling at XA30. The crew scheduler said 'thank you captain very much for calling in sick,' then hung up on me. His conduct only exacerbated an already stressful situation.
